Previously the Lake Lemon Triathlon we decided to change the name to reflect how participants felt about the course! A tough hilly course 10 miles north of Indiana University in Bloomington Monsterman features a tough yet beautiful course. The question remains can you defeat the beast?
Road Closure Attention! - There is a short road closure along the route that most take to our race venue. If you are traveling from Bloomington, South/East/West of Bloomington, and those using state road 46/45 this will most likely affect your travel to the race venue. A very small section of N. Old State Road 37 is closed preventing you from taking it all the way to the race venue if you are traveling north from Bloomington on either N. Walnut Street or N. Dunn Street. There are many multiple detours but you will definitely not be able to travel this way from N. Dunn Street. If traveling North from N. Walnut you can cut through the neighborhood just before the road closure to go around the closed section (Take a left onto N. Hillview Drive then the road will turn right and change into E. Audubon Dr. then take a left on Old State Road 37) Another alternate route from the Bloomington area would be to take E. Matlock Road which will turn into N. Headly Road and then N. Hinkle Road before taking a left onto Bethel and then taking a right onto N. Old State Road 37. This should not affect anyone traveling south from the Indianapolis area you can still simply take 37 to E. Sample Road to Old State Road 37.
This closure does not affect the race course at all.
